Staff Speaks: Sitting Pretty
Some girls just love beauty products. They love makeup, lotions, shampoos, body washes and everything in between. They love trying new things, ogling at pretty packaging and being able to share their product recommendations with friends. Our media director, Brittnee, is one of those girls.
It’s true that I am a total product girl, especially in winter when extra care is needed for cold weather woes. Between chapped lips, cracked cuticles and dry skin, I just can’t get enough hydration. And of course, I have a routine of go-to makeup essentials that I couldn’t go a single day without. Here are some products I am currently loving:
1. Smashbox Limitless Liquid Liner: My quest for the perfect liquid eyeliner has been a long one. Some are not dark enough, some smudge too easily, others have problematic applicators, etc. This awesome Smashbox pen is on a short list of eyeliners that meet my endlessly picky standards.
2. Benefit High-Beam: I use this miracle highlighter on my cheekbones, under my brows and in the center of my cupid’s bow to create the illusion of fuller lips.
3. Revlon Brow Fantasy: Because I have naturally thin hair, I fill my eyebrows in quite a bit. This inexpensive pencil has a waxy-finish that stays on long.
4. Neutrogena Oil Free Moisture: The perfect moisturizer for sensitive skin that’s light enough to use both in the morning and before bed.
5. Burt’s Bees Lip Balm: Made with real beeswax, it’s the best lip balm there is.
6. Philosophy Purity Cleanser: A one-step face wash that takes off my makeup and cleans my skin all in a single rinse.
